Student Collaboration in PBL

Project Description

​This study was undertaken in a high school classroom that utilized collaborative project-based learning.  I utilized mixed methods to examine how a collaboration level was determined in a project-based collaborative learning environment, where collaboration was one of the learning outcomes.

 

My Role & Responsibilities 

As a lead author, I conducted literature review, designed the research, collected data through online surveys and in-depth interviews, analyzed data, and write-up the report.

- Ability to synthesize literature and create a conceptual framework
- Ability to select appropriate data collection & analysis methods based on research questions
- Ability to collect data through online surveys and in-depth interviews
- Ability to analyze qualitative data searching for emerging themes 

- Ability to deal with missing data

- Ability to analyze data using one-way ANOVA and multi-level equation modeling

- Ability to use various data analysis programs such as SPSS, SAS, and MPlus

- Ability to write-up a report in APA style
